About Hop, Skip, and a Jump

Hi, I’m Lisa, owner and operator of Hop, Skip and Jump since 2010. 

I've lived my whole life in Middle Georgia and spent the last 35 years here in Macon. I have two sons and a large extended family in the area- my Southern roots are deep! I'm warm and laid-back, and I love running a children’s clothing business, where the customers become like my family!

At Hop, Skip and a Jump, we take the job of finding a shoe for children seriously.  We measure and fit children, which has become a lost art. We do not just throw a shoe out there and hope it fits. We want to make sure your kids love their shoes and anything else they purchase at our store. I’m always looking for new items of the best quality to offer my customers and adding new and upcoming brands.

Of course, my favorite part of my job is the children who come in to be fitted for shoes and clothes. They bring joy and excitement to every day.  I LOVE work because of them and it’s a pleasure to watch them grow.  

My work is a big part of my life- if you find a job you love like I have, you never work a day of your life! I'm always thinking about ways to make childrens' lives better. When I'm not here at the store, you can find me spending a day on the dock reading a book or spending time with my family,  my greatest joy

New Location!

Hop, Skip and a Jump has moved to the Prado Shopping Center, conveniently located off of Forsyth Road in North Macon, GA. Our new location gives us more space, a new layout, and a great community of other small businesses. You can shop there in person Monday through Saturday, or shop online at our new online store 24/7!
